I-ON Communications Co., Ltd. (“I-ON”, “Company”), an expert in developing enterprise-level unstructured data management software and digital solution leader in the region, announced on November 2nd that it would provide video-based Sports Data Platform to the “3X3 Basketball Skill Challenge” proceeded by the Korean 3X3 Basketball League and hosted by Seoul Gangdong Songpa District Office of Education.

Desire for sports activities due to the prolonged COVID-19 to be fulfilled through use of I-ON’s Sports Data Platform.

The 3X3 Basketball Skill Challenge was arranged to address the growing desire for outdoor sports activities of students whose activities decreased due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, and to further encourage individual sports activities.

The professional basketball players affiliated with KOREA 3x3 film their dribbling, shooting and other skills with linking movements and upload them weekly as step-by-step online lessons with different levels. The 3X3 Basketball Skill Challenge program is set to proceed for a total of 6 weeks starting from November 5 to December 10, 2020 and it provides an online platform that students can watch the videos to learn and upload their individual videos to showcase skills they learned and practiced.

An official from the Korea 3X3 Basketball League stated, "We chose I-ON Communications’ Sports Data Platform in order to improve students’ basketball skills through evaluation of professional basketball players and to promote safe sports activity even during COVID-19.”

Video-based Sports Data Platform provided by the Company enables students to film individual sport activity videos, which will then be uploaded onto the platform. Additional features include technical skill video uploads by professional players and their evaluation of students’ videos.
