SEOUL, South Korea – 25 April, 2016 – I-ON Communications Co., Ltd.(www.i-on.net/eng ), a leading solution provider of unstructured data management with 1,000+ customers globally, today announced it is participating in EUREKA Innovation Week 2016, which is scheduled to take place in Stockholm, Sweden, 26-28 April.

 

EUREKA is a flexible tool for research and innovation collaborations with more than 40 countries, providing access to key competencies and new markets around the world. This year, EUREKA Innovation Week event is hosted by the EUREKA associated countries; South Korea, Canada and South Africa under the theme “Smart Cities – Sustainable & Attractive Communities”.

 

I-ON has already experienced a multilateral joint R&D project on Long-term Archiving of Electronic Document in Cloud (E! 8687 LAEDOC) with ICT SMEs from Turkey, Slovenia, Montenegro and Czech Republic and early this year, it was labelled by ITEA3, one of the EUREKA cluster program so I-ON currently work with 28 partners from 7 different countries for a project named Digital Backbone (project code: 15005) led by Philips, the Netherlands. “EUREKA networks, especially B2B meetings are perfect opportunities to share new ideas, get insights as well as expand our network in EU. We expect to further explore possible partnership where we can generate innovative solutions in the ICT industry.”, said John Yang, general manager of I-ON.

 

As a Korean first mover with an OpenADR2.0 certified DRMS (Demand Response Management System) offerings, I-ON will be meeting research institutions, SMEs in EU Smart City / Smart Grid industry to discuss potential collaboration opportunities.
